Global Citizens Is Coming To London With Special Guests; Naughty Boy, Emeli Sandé, Lady Leshurr, Maya Jama and more!
Global Citizen aims to end poverty by 2030. They’ve demanded for the abolishment of child marriage in Tanzania and partnered up with humanitarian Rihanna to bring forth education to millions of individuals worldwide. Even more, ‘they’ve promoted polio vaccination drives, refugee resettlement programs, and the creation of marine sanctuaries’.
As an essential, impactful and worthy cause, the organisation is acknowledged for hosting events and festivals to bring awareness towards their movement. They’ve previously worked with some of the biggest artists in the world; Kendrick Lamar, Queen B and Green Day.
This year, Global Citizens is finally coming to London!
Paying homage to the late Nelson Mandela, Global Citizen are uniting all world leaders to the O2 Academy Brixton for the Commonwealth Summit. Mandela has once expressed his opinion that this generation could possibly terminate extreme poverty, during his last speech in London’s Trafalgar Square.
For this reason, Global Citizens is hosting a memorable night in South London. An evening filled with music, comedy, poetry - alongside Naughty Boy, Lady Leshurr, Kojo Funds, Little Simz and more. It will be hosted by; Maya Jama, Adwoa Aboah, Ade Adepitan, and Neev Spencer.
