Davido Review: Davido Sells Out London's O2 Arena & Brings Afrobeats To The World

Afrobeats artist David Adeleke aka Davido held his long-awaited concert at the O2 Arena on Sunday night. 20,000 music lovers arrived to witness history being made as the second Afrobeats artist to sell out at the O2, after Wizkid’s 2018 show!

Fans gathered to listen to amazing performances from the likes of Russ, Popcaan, Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Idowest and Yonda who are all part of his DMW group.

To everyone’s surprise Actor, rapper and Disc Jockey Idris Elba shocked the crowd by making an appearance and introducing the main man himself, Davido to his audience. Without expecting anything less from Davido, he arrived in a suspended platform where he was cheered by the audience. Performing songs such as ‘All of You’, ‘FIA’ ‘IF’, ‘Aye’, ‘Fall’ and ‘Assurance’ where he brought his girlfriend, Chioma where they shared a kiss and a hug on stage.

Overall, Blacpire scores the concert review a 7.5/10 as he really did put on a show! As many would like to call it short and sweet. However, as he strides into 2019 his prospects in the US seems to be growing and we should hopefully see a sold out show there too. But, his real selling point, illustrated by this strong show, is his ability to slip between cultures, at home in and in work!
