The streaming service confirmed on June 1 that it would no longer be moving forward with the sci-fi drama from Lana and Lilly Wachowski.

"After 23 episodes, 16 cities and 13 countries, the story of the Sense8 cluster is coming to an end," Cindy Holland, Netflix's VP of original content, said in a statement.  The news came shortly after another Netflix hit show, The Get Down, was cancelled after just one season.

Thousands droned to twitter to express their love for the show; including cast members, Freema Agyeman (Nomi Marks) and Brian J. Smith (Will Gorski).

FA: “…This show was the DEFINITION of global, equal, groundbreaking, diverse”

BJ. S: “Thanks for your passion and support these last few days, was very moving to see your love for the show. En Evant!”

Fans described the show as, “the most gender, sexuality, race, religion and mental health inclusive show”. The love the show has accumulated, over its brief period of being streamed, will hopefully encourage more eclectic creatives to become more inclusive with casting and writing.
