Metro Boomin Announces Boominati Record Label
After weeks of speculation about the term "Boominati" that producer Metro Boomin uses periodically on Twitter, the world has finally been given some clarification. The producer announced Boominati Worldwide as a new record label formed through a joint venture between Republic Records and Universal Music Group.
News of the label's formation comes after Metro's previous affiliation with Future's Freebandz hallmark. The producer is still listed on the official Freebandz website as an artist. There's no word on whether Future is involved with Boominati Worldwide in any facet.
“Launching Boominati Worldwide is the next step in my career as a producer, an artist and a businessman. I created the label to represent a collective of highly gifted individuals who have the shared gift of being able to influence the world through culture and art." said Boomin, in a statement.
The establishment of the label comes right after the release of his single "No Complaints" featuring Drake and Offset on OVO Radio on June 23. The official cover art and alternative cover were photographed by Gunner Stahl.
Metro's year has been nothing but a string of success. He's hit platinum status with his production on "Bad and Boujee" by Migos, "Congratulations" by Post Malone, and "Mask Off" by Future.
